Partial Hospitalization Program
More Info
PHP aims to provide intensive care to patients whose symptoms cannot be managed in outpatient care alone. This is a more intensive program involving 20-25 hours of structured sessions per week. The primary goal is often stabilization of acute symptoms, preventing the need for inpatient hospitalization, or serving as a “step-down” from inpatient care. The high level of structure is crucial for patients with more severe symptoms.
Admission requires meeting specific criteria to ensure the program is appropriate to meet the patient’s needs. Patients with mental health diagnoses that cause functional impairment can enjoy structured office based treatment 5 days per week. Situations that could qualify a patient for partial hospitalization may include:
- Discharge from Inpatient Care
- Treatment Necessity (step up from outpatient or intensive outpatient)
- Mental Health Diagnosis
- Functional Impairment
- Safety Concerns
- Clinical Needs & Treatment Goals

Intensive Outpatient Program
More Info
IOP aims to provide an alternative level of care to patients whose symptoms would be better managed than in outpatient care alone. This is less intensive than PHP, typically involving 9-12 hours of structured sessions per week. IOP is often a “step-down” from PHP or inpatient care, or the first level of intensive care for those with moderate symptoms. The focus is integrating learned skills into daily life while balancing work, school, or family responsibilities.
Admission to our intensive outpatient program also requires meeting specific criteria to ensure the program is appropriate to meet the patient’s needs. This structured treatment program occurs 3 days per week and is ideal for clients who have either stepped down from partial hospitalization to a less intensive level of care, or those who would like to step up from outpatient care or one on one therapy due to a need for a more intensive level of care.
