Alexis Harris, LPC-Associate

Hello and welcome! My name is Alexis, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate supervised by Russell Bartee, MA, LPC-S. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology with a Child development minor from Oklahoma State University before obtaining my Masters from Texas Wesleyan University.

I offer counseling to adolescent, couples, adults and families. I aim to create a collaborative experience and will encourage your personal values and stories to guide our journey to new insights. My therapeutic approach is rooted in empathy, trust, and collaboration drawing from the models of Narrative therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, and Dialectical behavior therapy.

I have gained experience through working in the foster care sector which  has allowed me to work with families, couples, individuals and adolescents from diverse backgrounds and various difficulties . I specialize areas of family conflict, Parent-Child relationship, life adjustments, trauma, relationship issues, behavioral needs and women issues.

My desire is to empower individuals and families to navigate the challenges of life by exploring hidden strengths. We are all impacted by the mysteries of the life, and I hope to support you in confronting both the sorrows and joys life has to offer.
